These raw hazelnuts have a creamy flavour and crunchy texture. They have no added preservatives and are non-GMO. Raw hazelnuts are a great natural snack as well as a wonderful ingredient in raw food recipes, baking, sweet and savoury recipes. Our raw Oregon hazelnuts can be activated; used to make dairy-free nut milk; or ground for hazelnut meal and butter – wonderful for vegans, to replace flour in baked goods, or to use in raw food recipes.
Raw Hazelnuts provide high levels of antioxidants. Antioxidants protect the body from oxidative stress, which can damage cell structure and promote ageing, cancer and heart disease.
The most abundant antioxidants in hazelnuts are known as phenolic compounds. They are proven to help decrease blood cholesterol and inflammation.
The majority of the antioxidants present are concentrated in the skin of the nut. However, this antioxidant content could decrease after the roasting process. Therefore, it is recommended to consume whole, un-roasted kernels with the skin rather than peeled kernels, either roasted or raw.

Raw Hazelnuts are a nourishing snack on their own or in a trail mix – combined with dried fruit, seeds and carob buds. Add chopped hazelnuts to muesli, porridge, smoothies or acai bowls.
Activate raw nuts by soaking in water for 12 hours, before slowly dehydrating at very low heat. Soaked nuts are great for dairy-free fresh mixed nut mylk – just drain, blend with 6 parts water (optional: add a little honey or coconut nectar &/or a pinch of pink salt), then strain through a clean cloth.
Nut mylk will keep for several days, refrigerated in an airtight jar. Hazelnuts can also be ground to a flour or ‘meal’, perfect for baking and gluten-free recipes. Grind to a paste for scrumptious fresh nut butter.
Buy raw hazelnuts – or toast them – to toss over salads. Hazelnuts are a delicious addition to raw energy balls or baked bread, muffins, cakes, biscuits and desserts. A tasty and convenient natural addition to the pantry. Chocolate and hazelnut are a perfect flavour combination!
