Brazil Nuts
Brazil nuts are one of the most sought-after nuts around. They are famous both for their taste and immense nutritional benefits. A fun fact: they are a fruit seed rather than an actual nut! Yet, eating Brazil nuts as part of your diet offers countless health benefits. This is due to their high levels of vitamins and minerals. The most notable nutrient is selenium.
Selenium is a mineral that is very depleted in our soils. Any food that is grown in the ground will be naturally very low in selenium. As an unfortunate result, it is quite often lacking in our diets. Luckily, Brazil nuts are one of the best sources of natural selenium on the planet.
The Nut Market's Brazil nuts are some of the highest-quality worldwide. And yes, they are brimming with natural selenium. They have been associated with many health benefits.
These include:
- a healthy heart
- radiant skin
- weight loss
- digestive health
- hormone regularity
- healthy immunity
Brazil Nuts are delectable as a snack on their own or also wonderful in a hiker’s mix. Get some Brazil nuts into your diet!

Brazil Nuts are a scrumptious snack on their own, roasted in combination with other nuts such as almond, hazelnuts and cashews or in a trail mix combined with dried fruit and seeds. Add roughly chopped Brazil nuts to muesli, smoothie blends or acai bowls.
Pre-soaked Brazil nuts are great for dairy-free fresh mixed nut milk. Just drain, blend with 6 parts water (optional: add a little honey or coconut nectar &/or a pinch of Himalayan pink salt), then strain through a clean cloth. Nut milk will keep for several days, refrigerated in an airtight jar.
Grind Brazil Nuts to make yummy dairy-free nut butter, wonderful for vegans and in raw food recipes.
Toss Brazils over salads, ground in pesto and dips, or finely chopped in veggie burgers. Brazils make a yummy addition to fruit loaves, muffins, cakes and desserts and traditional fruit cakes.
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
