The Nut Market's Australian Grown, Naked Ginger is sourced locally, right here in Queensland from Buderim Ginger. These golden pieces of ginger are sweet and spicy with a firm, chewy texture. It is gluten-free and has no artificial additives or preservatives. This uncrystallised bare ginger is a delicious snack and yummy addition to many recipes.
Interestingly, ginger itself is as old as the recorded history of man. A native to southern Asia and India, it is spoken of in the Jewish Talmud, written about by Marco Polo, and even recommended by Henry VIII as a remedy against the plague. It is known for its Anti-Inflammatory Effects and as an Immunity-Booster. Ginger contains active compounds that can relieve sinuses and protect the body against toxins and viruses. Enjoy this scrumptious uncrystallised bare ginger as a snack on its own or combine with nuts and seeds in a hikers mix. Add to muesli, granola blends or porridge, diced to a smaller size if desired. Fantastic to add a zing to muesli bars, energy balls and slices. This ginger is a delectable addition to preserves including marmalade, chutney and pickles.
Uncrystallised bare ginger is also great on cheese platters, and is a lovely Australian made gift.
