Our famous Cinnamon Almonds are roasted fresh in our James St. premises weekly. We start with Australian Grown Premium Almonds then add a delicious mix of cinnamon sugar, before slow-roasting to perfection. These cinnamon almonds are a crunchy, sweet and heavenly treat, packed into our signature Nut Market Gift Bag and topped off with a black and gold ribbon they make for the perfect Christmas present. Free of sulphites and artificial colours, they are also non-GMO, preservative-free, Vegan and Gluten Free.
They're our take on a time-honored European Christmas classic, Gebrannte Mendeln (German Cinnamon Roasted Almonds). Traditionally sold throughout Europe at open air Christmas markets these delicious treats also go by the name of candied almonds. The history of Christmas Markets goes back to the Late Middle Ages in the German-speaking part of Europe, and in many eastern regions of France. Cinnamon almonds have always been one of the most popular tourist attractions. Their warmth helps stave off the cold winter air which sometimes dips below freezing.
