Australian Blanched Almond Meal
This Blanched Almond Meal is made from raw, 100% Australian Almonds. The almonds have been lightly blanched to remove the outer skin, before being ground into a fluffy meal. It has a smooth and mild nutty flavour, with slightly more texture than our Almond Flour.
This Almond Meal is preservative-free, non-GMO and has nothing artificial added. Blanched Almond Meal can be used in both savoury and sweet dishes. It gives a pleasant flavour to baked goods and is particularly useful in gluten-free recipes being a suitable substitute for grain flours in delectable cakes – an especially delicious combination when paired with orange or chocolate!
- The almonds are blanched first, then the skins are removed before grinding
- Blanching is the scalding of almonds (or vegetables etc) in boiling water for a short period of time
- Our blanched almond meal is preservative-free & non-GMO
- No artificial additives

The feathery texture of this blanched meal makes it ideal for lighter cake recipes. It's scrumptious in baked or raw treats and can be used to replace flour in baking recipes. An extra egg or two may be required to bind recipes that have the flour replaced. Natural Almond Meal also works brilliantly in conjunction with other gluten-free flours including coconut flour.
Blanched Almond Meal adds extra nuttiness to savoury dishes too. Toss through steamed greens, mix into fish patties, or use as a bread-like crumbing for meats. Mix with grated cheese for a tasty au gratin topping on vegetables and pasta dishes. It's also a lovely addition with rice for stuffed capsicums or mushrooms.
Almond Meal can also make a fantastic addition to your breakfast table. Use in pancakes, smoothies, acai bowls and porridge; or even sprinkled over yoghurt and fruit.
